GRESSONEY

is a little Italian mountain town of only 299 inhabitants, famous for the Monterosa Ski area, the Walser tradition and the opportunity to experience sport all year round.

EXPERIENCE

Snowshoes (in italian ciaspole) stick under mountain boots and have a dual function: they allow you to “float” on fresh snow and not to slide on hard snow, thanks to little crampons.

They are a simple and effective mountain gera for hiking on fresh snow.
Ask to Ambaradan team for information on recommended and dedicated paths for snowshoeing.

ADVENTURE

Ski mountaineering (or ski touring) is an adventure that is practiced in the mountains on the snowy slopes, outside of equipped facilities and slopes, that is on “off-piste skiing”, through the use of suitable skis and seal skins.

The most challenging must be accompanied by alpine guides. Those of Gressoney are available to guide you in unexplored places.

SUMMER

The Gressoney Valley is entirely passable on foot or by bicycle along dozens of paths.

WALSER CURTURE

The Gressoney Valley is rich in tradition. Walser culture has left indelible traces of its passage and its history.

You can visit Villa Margherita, the Savoia Castle, the houses of the Walser and see how the typical clothes of Gressoney were produced. The pink sunset from which the Monterosa Ski area takes its name is spectacular
